You've just gave me an idea.
I'll try to design the shooting system in Project Horror in such a way so that the same shooting animation can use any weapon.
And a few weapons will be randomly spawned on the levels.
They'll be different by accuracy, fire rate, shooting sounds, damage, but unfortunately, you won't be able to reload them (no extra ammo clips for anything other than pistols), because that'd require a reloading animation for each weapon. And all pistols reload the same.
Maybe 10-12 weapons will be included. Can you pick those weapons now, PM me the list and send their sprites?
Btw, the design document (plan) will probably be ready in Saturday.
But using the same shooting animation won't let all the guns be handed in the same way? I already checked out how Krinkels did at Project Nexus, and he made the shooting and reloading system as movie clips (and separated), the idea you had was good, but not good to be used in a game like this one, but in games like Gun Mayhem, and some others.

About weapon handling - hands will be inside weapon movie clips. That means the actual hand movie clips will disappear suddenly, and the hands inside weapon movie clips will become visible.
I'll have to do field tests with this technique and see if it works out. I've got nexus weapons, I'll test on them. This will probably happen some time after or during Thursday.
